No, you have to be approved for Medi-Cal so the nursing facility can bill Medi Cal. If your application is pending, they dont know if you will be approved or not. They dont take a guarantor or up front payment. You are supposed to be unable to do either if you qualify for Medi Cal. Good luck finding a nursing home who takes it.
